Working Holiday: Our Apartment in Noosa, Australia!

Updated: Apr 29, 2020

I just realized that I promised you photos of our apartment in Noosa a long long time ago! This isn’t going to be me most glamorous post but if anyone out there is curious as to what sort of options are out there for places to live on an Australian working holiday this may be of interest.

I am not gonna lie, we were CRAZY LUCKY with this apartment AND it took us nearly a full month of non-stop searching and many, many rejections before finding this place. We also only got it because we were willing to pay the rent in FULL in CASH upon signing the lease. For those wondering our rent was roughly AUD $320/ week (and then split between Lewis and I that came out to be AUD $160/per person/week) which was really affordable. Our flat was located in a holiday resort with 3 swimming pools, 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, kitchen with stove and dishwasher and private washer and dryer all included. We got insanely lucky and we LOVED our apartment SO SO SO much.

Without further ado… here is the tour!

Here was the master bedroom. With small porch.

Also each apartment had a little car port like the ones shown above. We didn’t have a car but we did store our bikes under there to protect them from rain.

Dining area and living room. We loved that little cubby shelving unit. To the left there is the entrance to the smaller 2nd bedroom. I guess I didn’t actually take a photo of it but it was a pretty basic smaller bedroom with a wardrobe, window and single bed.

More of the living room. We had a second porch that looked out over the Lake. The sunset over the lake every night and was such a treat to look out at.

And that’s our little apartment! Isn’t it cute? I honestly miss it SO MUCH and would live there again in a heartbeat.

What do you think of our apartment? Did anyone else have a hard time finding a place to live in Australia on their working holiday? Let me know in the comments below!
