The Best Spot to Watch the Sydney New Year’s Eve Fireworks

Watching the New Year’s Eve fireworks in Sydney is a major travel goal for so many people, myself included!!

This year I was lucky enough to take part in the festivities and it was totally worth the hype!!

We grabbed an Uber and met my family at their Darlinghurst Airbnb. Being NYE, Sydney was crazy and we were so lost as to where we should watch the fireworks.

To access one of the Sydney city recommended spots you have to line up (or even camp out!) hours and hours in advance. Lewis and I knew of some backpacking friends that had started camping out by Mrs. Macquaries Chair at 8am. Nooo thank you. But if that’s not your thing either keep reading because we managed to score the absolute best and easiest fireworks viewing spot: Rushcutter’s Bay.

Low-key, beautiful and fun Rushcutter’s Bay was the perfect spot for us.

The best surprise of the night was when our friends from the East Coast tour showed up actually ditched the spot they had camped out in since breakfast time to join us there!
