Scenic Helicopter Tour Above London

Alright, I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: You can never, EVER, run out of things to do in London.

At the beginning of the summer Lewis’s brother Aaron invited Lewis and I on the experience of a lifetime… a private helicopter ride over some of London’s most iconic monuments. With the company of Lewis and his family we drove out to Battersea to The London Helicopter.

Our helicopter journey was 30 minutes long and took us cruising over Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, The London Eye, St. Paul’s Cathedral and so much more. London was kind to us and treated us to a clear day with blue skies for the journey so our views were crystal clear and the conditions couldn’t possibly have been better.

To be honest I wasn’t sure how different a helicopter ride would be to just a regular plane ride… only smaller but it is is SO much more fun.

It was so surreal to see a city so familiar to me in such a new and unbelievable angle. It kind of reminded me of the Peter Pan ride at Disneyworld where you soar above a tiny toysized London.

We did the 30 minute London Max tour and let me tell you 30 minutes has never passed more quickly!

I was totally in awe of the views and trying to capture photos as best I could on my phone but I think I need to go all over again and just look with my eyes and forget about the camera.
