Photo Diary: Venice, Burano & Murano
Venice is one of the most unique destinations in the world and had been on my travel bucket list for as long as I can remember. I had a great time meeting up with my friends Mackenzie and Maddie there while they were backpacking Europe. I took loads and loads of photos and would love to share them with you! Enjoy!
Venice
Immediately upon arriving in Venice, I had to find some food. This pizza was out of control!

Then I found Mackenzie and Maddie

Venice is just as dreamy and romantic as I imagined it would be…

The next day we ventured to the nearby islands of Burano and Murano. These islands are really unique and amazing and 100% worth the trip. It’s a bit of a hike to get there on the water-taxis but well worth the journey–especially is you are at all into photography.
Murano
The island of Murano is renowned for its long tradition of glass-making.

Burano
Have you ever seen anything as picturesque as these colorful homes? Legend has it that the fishermen on Burano painted their homes bright colors so that they could find their way home even in thick fog and avoid crashing into the shore after a voyage at sea.
While Murano is famous for glass-making, Burano is famous for lace-making.
