I’m Back! – Life Update
I’m BACK. I feel so bad about how long it has been since I last posted. I never wanted to be one of those people who had an awesome travel blog the whole time they were away and then got home and did NOTHING interesting and never posted again. We’re not here for that!
Summer has been insanely busy and basically the time period between April and August has been a complete and total whirlwind.
First of all, two major life changes:
Lewis and I got ENGAGED!
I got a REAL JOB!
I bet I can guess which one you are more surprised about!
Here’s a little run down of the last 4-5 months…
In April I went to Disneyworld and Florida.
In May we had a friend from England come visit us and we did a food tour in NYC which was awesome and I will definitely be doing a post on in the next few weeks.
And later in May…
We got engaged! While Lewis’s friend James was out visiting America for the first time. They had it all planned so James would act like he was just dying to visit the summer camp that Lewis and I had met at. The camp is in a beautiful little town in Cape Cod so nobody needed too much convincing for a visit up there. When we got to the camp Lewis asked James to take our picture on the dock and here’s what happened….

We are so excited. We already have a venue, caterer and DJ picked out. And a date! August 2019. There is so much to do, but if you haven’t already noticed from this blog I really do enjoy planning things.
In May and part of June I was also crazy with trying to find a ‘real job.’ I’ve been doing freelance work that I absolutely loved for most of the last year but I needed something truly full-time. If you’ve been reading this blog for a while you’ll know that a ‘real job’ is something I’ve avoided like the plague since I graduated university 3 years ago. I think having finally done something 100% for myself (in going to Australia and traveling for a year) it was like I finally felt OK committing to something.
Anyway, the job I got is actually COOL! AND travel related! So just because I am working full time right now does NOT mean the travel is ending anytime at all soon—rest assured!
My new job has already taken me to England, France and Spain at the end of July and I can’t wait to share my experiences on that trip soon too! I’ll get into the job more on another post but my role is to help teachers create travel programs for middle and high school students so they can go abroad.
This past week took me to Nantucket for my annual summer trip which was great and then I am back home and at work for a few days before heading to Denver, Colorado. I am also super excited about that since I’ve never been before. Stay tuned for upcoming posts on:
