London, Paris and Barcelona in a Week!

London, Paris and Barcelona in a Week!

London, Paris and Barcelona… Europe’s big city sampler. It’s easier than you may think to cram in the highlights of England, France and Spain in a 10 day whirlwind trip. I did it! At the end of July this summer my good friend Brianna and I went on a trip (for work!) to see some of the most popular tourist attractions in these three cities. This itinerary was provided for us through the tour company that we were traveling with and it functioned really well. I would recommend i

    Scenic Helicopter Tour Above London

Alright, I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: You can never, EVER, run out of things to do in London. At the beginning of the summer Lewis’s brother Aaron invited Lewis and I on the experience of a lifetime… a private helicopter ride over some of London’s most iconic monuments. With the company of Lewis and his family we drove out to Battersea to The London Helicopter. Our helicopter journey was 30 minutes long and took us cruising over Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Pal

Great Pubs of London’s Undiscovered Historical Docklands

I’ve found myself in London not once, not twice, but FOUR times this year! To be honest, every trip to London, especially this year, I leave thinking to myself ‘that’s it! I’ve done it! I’ve seen and done everything there is to do in London!’ And every time I return I realise what a silly thing to say that really is. There is SO much to do in London and I am always discovering new favourite neighbourhoods, parks and restaurants. This trip was no exception. Due to the last-min

Wow does this feel like forever ago! Had fun making this video as a little reminder of our spontaneous trip to London at the beginning of the year. London’s ArcelorMittal Orbit Slide

Lewis and I had the chance to experience the ArcelorMittal Orbit slide at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park while we were in London. Just when you think you’ve done it all in London they pop out with something totally wild like this! The ArcelorMittal Orbit is Britain’s largest sculpture offering spectacular 20-mile views over Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and the London skyline. If you dare, descend the world’s highest and, at 178m, the world’s longest tunnel slide. It only ta

    A Week in London

It was SO good to be back in London last week. I feel like ever since I lived there in 2013 every time winter comes around I get this urge to book a ticket and wander around my old neighborhood so I am SO SO happy I finally got that chance. If you haven’t had a chance check out my post about getting to fly *BUSINESS CLASS* all the way from Sydney to London, my experience dining at OXO Tower and my guide to Borough Market. Besides that though, we did heaps of other fun activit

Cycle Tour Through London with London Bicycle Company

On one of the days we were in London we woke up early and took a bike tour of London with London Bicycle Tour Company. It was absolutely FREEZING but we had such a good time and learned so many cool new things about London! We did the Classic tour which departs daily from just along South Bank near Waterloo tube station at 10:30am and lasts about 3 hours. You cycle along some of London’s most popular destinations like The Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Pa

FLYING BUSINESS CLASS WITH BRITISH AIRWAYS SYDNEY TO LONDON

Business class is THE ONE. GUYS, guys, seriously, this is the absolute best way to travel. My flight from Boston to Dubai to Sydney back in September was the absolute worst. It’s 12 hours from Boston to Dubai and then it was another 14 from Dubai to Sydney and let me tell you that is one heck of a long time to sit in a teeny tiny seat right up close to a stranger and not get any sleep. That being said, I was REALLY not looking forward to this flight from Sydney to Singapore (

Luxury Valentine Dinner at OXO Tower London

Since I am ALWAYS trying to save money for travel, dining out is not something I get to do a lot of. So when Lewis and I got the opportunity to test out the Brasserie at the OXO Tower we were thrilled not only for the chance to treat ourselves to what would be not only an excellent meal but one with such a spectacular view of one of our all time favorite spots, London’s South Bank. Taking it as an opportunity to celebrate Valentine’s Day in style (as well as a little early) w

A GUIDE TO LONDON’S BOROUGH MARKET

Fresh baked chocolate chip cookies the size of dinner plates, melty-gooey grilled cheese sandwiches, mulled wine, made-to-order Italian panini you can find it all and more at Borough Market in central London. Borough Market is always one of my first stops every time I come to London. It’s a celebration for the senses… the smells, the colors and of course the flavors! It’s a total food paradise. Just off the London Bridge stop on the Northern or Jubilee lines follow the crowd

7 Free (Or Sort of Free) Things to Do in London

“When a man is tired of London, he is tired of life; for there is in London all that life can afford.” There is SO much to see and do in London. Here are some of my favorite off-the-beaten-path free or free-ish things to do in the city! Shop the Brick Lane Market and grab a bagel at Beigel Bake: When you see a really long line of locals outside of a totally understated shopfront you know something’s gotta be be good. That’s what happened to me on Brick Lane. I was starving an

Snapshot Scene – My Favorite Photo from My Semester in London

This is my favorite photo from the six months I spent in the UK. My roommates and I had just gotten the keys to our new flat. It was a tiny two bedroom that the four of us would share, but it was in central London and only a five minute walk from Hyde Park and we were excited to finally start feeling settled in our new country. We spent the morning moving all of our belongings over from the Holborn hotel that had been our home for the last week to where we would be living inQ
